Voice of our Youth - Project Overview
The aim of Voice of our Youth is to capture the voice of young people living in the Loddon Campaspe region, especially those who are currently or have previously been faced with the challenge of leaving school early.
From August to December 2019 we will be looking to engage young people from across our six local government areas to share their voice, stories, experiences and ideas in an effort to:
Understand why young people are leaving school prior to completing year 12 or equivalent.
Understand the barriers and opportunities for young people to remain engaged in education.
Explore what needs to exist to keep such young people engaged and where the system needs to adjust to meet their needs.
Identify opportunities for targeted interventions and investment to support young people in the journey through education to employment.

The Loddon Campaspe Regional Partnership
This project is an initiative of the Loddon Campaspe Regional Partnership as one of the nine Regional Partnerships have been established by the Victorian Government across the State to give regional communities greater say about what matters to them and ensure their voices reach the heart of government. Partnerships aim to increase collaboration between communities, industry, businesses and government to address the most important challenges and opportunities in each region.
The Loddon Campaspe Regional Partnership in central Victoria covers an area with a diverse population and a buoyant economy based on agriculture, retail, health, property and manufacturing. There are six Local Government Areas, including Campaspe Shire, Central Goldfields Shire, City of Greater Bendigo, Loddon Shire, Macedon Ranges Shire and Mount Alexander Shire. The partnership members are deeply connected to their local communities and bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge. Members of the partnership include CEOs of all six councils, representatives from State and Commonwealth government and appointed business and community representatives.
